Purpose: To create a Developmental Academy League structure that will foster proper player development for member clubs while maintaining a structured and competitive club atmosphere. Player development and competitive balance will be the primary focus.

Ages: U9, U10 boys and girls (U8 division still in the works)

Participating Members: Gulf Coast United, Largo United, Palm Harbor, Central Pasco, Clearwater Soccer Club, and West Pasco.

Playing Format:

• 3 host clubs each weekend
• Member clubs will create the schedule
• No set teams, player pools only
• Games begin first weekend in November and end mid February 2010.

Benefits:

• Member clubs have similar philosophical goals for developing players
• No A & B teams
• No more getting caught between number of kids, if we have 13 take them all and schedule two games each week with all of the kids participating in both games
• Coaching staff concentrated in one place
• Club continuity with all of your U9, U10 boys and girls team at one field every weekend.
• Easy to play U9 players up with U10’s if a club desires
• If you want to play longer, extend the match.
• Member clubs can work together to develop a strong working, cooperative relationship.

Policy:

• Team adds a player if down by 3 goals, once the goal difference goes to 2 then the extra player comes off the field.
• Must organize in advance if playing stronger players on one team for the weekend.
• No coaching from the parent’s sideline.
• Give the referee before each match league created info flyer on how Alliance Developmental League runs.
• Reserve field space and times once schedule is received.
